Specimen Requirements:

1 mL refrigerated serum (0.5 mL minimum).Collect in barrier tube. Spin and separate the serum as soon as possible after clot formation (preferably within 45 minutes after collection). Be srue barrier forms a complete separation between serum and cells. Avoid hemolysis. [Test includes Iron, Transferrin, and % Saturation.]
