Sonora Quest Now Offering Carside Blood Draws for Routine Testing

Monday, June 27, 2022   |   Category: Press Releases

PHOENIX (June 7, 2022) -- Sonora Quest Laboratories, Arizona’s leading diagnostic laboratory, announced it is piloting a carside offering for routine laboratory testing at three of its Patient Service Centers (PSCs) located in Scottsdale, Sun Lakes, and Bullhead City. This new, innovative service allows patients to remain in their vehicles as their blood and/or saliva sample is drawn.

In addition to being easy and convenient for most patients, carside testing is also an accessible option for those with mobility limitations, compromised immune systems, or children in the car. This drive-up-and-get-drawn service meets the patient where they are—even if it is meeting them at their car in between errands!

“This new offering comes at the perfect time when Arizonans are looking to gain fresh and proactive insight into their individual health,” said Chief Growth Officer Christina Noble at Sonora Quest. “We realized our patients appreciated the carside COVID-19 testing option, so we knew we needed to expand this service to include more tests.”

Routine blood work helps diagnose several diseases and conditions, as well as checking blood glucose and cholesterol levels. There are many medical conditions that can be diagnosed via bloodwork, so knowing your numbers can help you and your health care provider learn more about your health.

Noble added: “At Sonora Quest, we’re dedicated to finding exceptional, innovative value based on the feedback received by our customers to decrease barriers, help them take a more proactive role, and meet them wherever they are in their health care journey. Now, health care can mean meeting you at your car door as your child naps in the back, and we think that is a step in the right direction.”

Patients must book an appointment for carside testing. To book an appointment, patients should visit SonoraQuest.com/appointments. When arriving for their carside testing appointment, patients should park in the designated area, follow directions on the sign, and a member of the Sonora Quest team will approach the patient’s vehicle with sample collection materials and any additional required paperwork.

Sonora Quest is already looking to expand this innovative health care solution to additional locations in Arizona.
