Drive Up, Get Collected, Be on Your Way! Sonora Quest Now Offering Carside Blood Draws for Routine Testing

PHOENIX (Oct. 19, 2022) -- Sonora Quest Laboratories, Arizona’s leading diagnostic laboratory, has launched carside collection for routine laboratory testing at five of its Patient Service Centers (PSCs). This new, innovative service allows patients to remain in their vehicles as their blood sample is drawn. Locations include Scottsdale, Sun Lakes, Bullhead City, Show Low, as well as at Sonora Quest’s new Tempe PSC location. Additional locations are expected to launch soon.

The locations, which already offer carside COVID-19 testing, will have appointments available for any routine lab test that requires a blood or saliva sample. In addition to being easy and convenient for most patients, carside routine testing is especially beneficial for those with mobility limitations, compromised immune systems, or even children in the car.

“This new offering comes at the perfect time when Arizonans are looking to gain fresh and proactive insight into their individual health,” said Sonora Quest Chief Growth Officer Christina Noble. “We realized our patients appreciated the carside COVID-19 testing option, so we knew we needed to expand this service to include more tests.”

Routine testing helps diagnose and monitor several diseases and conditions, as well as give patients a clear picture and record of their health. Primary care providers include routine screenings as part of yearly health visits and additional screenings as needed. Patients can also order their own testing through Sonora Quest’s My Lab ReQuest.

Patients must book an appointment for carside testing. When arriving for their carside testing appointment, patients should park in the designated area, follow directions on the sign, and a member of the Sonora Quest team will approach the patient’s vehicle with sample collection materials and any additional required paperwork.
