Sonora Quest Laboratories Launches Home and Business Mobile Sample Collection Services

TEMPE, Ariz. (May 13, 2019) – Sonora Quest Laboratories, Arizona’s largest integrated laboratory system, has announced the availability of a new mobile sample collection service available in Maricopa County. The service provides consumers the option to schedule an appointment to have a Sonora Quest phlebotomist come to their home or place of business to perform blood collection for lab testing.

“This new service is another example of Sonora Quest’s commitment to making access to high quality lab services more convenient and timely for Arizonans. We are the only full-service lab in Arizona providing this service directly to consumers and patients,” said Christina Noble, Chief Growth Officer at Sonora Quest. “This initiative will greatly benefit patients that have difficulties in visiting our locations, helping them receive the testing needed to better manage their health for improved outcomes.”

Patients will now have an option to select a time and location for Sonora Quest to come to them for sample collection as opposed to the traditional collection performed in Sonora Quest’s patient service centers. Mobile services are also a great solution for homebound customers who may be unable to travel to a patient service center, as well as for pediatric or special needs patients who may be more comfortable with sample collection performed in the comfort and privacy of their home.

This service is available for blood tests ordered by physicians, or ordered directly by consumers without a doctor’s order through Sonora Quest’s My Lab ReQuest^TM offering. As the demand grows, Sonora Quest expects to expand this new service to other Arizona markets including Tucson, Flagstaff and Prescott. The mobile service may be covered by some insurance plans, although insurance is not required. When not covered, this service is available with prepayment of $60.
